School Programs

From Pre-K through college level, the E.C.O. Center conducts educational programs for all age and grade levels for public schools, private schools, and homeschool groups!  We strive to be a premiere field trip destination in Northwest Georgia for students and teachers by offering engaging, hands-on, and unforgettable programs.  The E.C.O. Center is familiar with and incorporates the Georgia Standards of Excellence in Science for each grade level as they pertain to the Center's themes.  Teachers can schedule a field trip at the E.C.O. Center with confidence in knowing that the program meets those standards and connects the classroom learning with hands-on opportunities.  Programs can be generalized for the grade level or tailored to a more specific topic, either way we want to make the experience exactly what the students and teachers need!

Program Options

Schedule a program for a single class or for an entire grade!  The minimum class size for an educational program is 10 students.

Programs may include time in the E.C.O. Center with native wildlife, activities in the wetlands demonstration area, and/or a boat cruise on the Roman Holiday (a passenger pontoon boat that travels the Oostanaula and Coosa Rivers).

School programs are generally conducted in the mornings and last about 2 hours.  Group size and program options ultimately determine program length.

Program Cost

All programs are $4.00/student + tax (if non-exempt)

Programs that include the Roman Holiday are a reduced rate of $3.00/student + tax (if non-exempt) plus an additional $315.00 for the Roman Holiday
